Confirmed!GW Bookstore Manager Bob Blake confirmed today via telephone that the Colonial Inauguration "give-away" t-shirts will be sourced from Alta Gracia. This is a great victory!
Alta Gracia is the only major sweat-free brand of t-shirts. The company is an experiment in socially responsible production, and a challenge to companies like Russel Athletic who claim that paying living wages would put them out of business.
We are very happy to promote Alta Gracia on campus, in coordination with the United Students Against Sweatshops. Thanks for Steve Roache at the Colonial Inauguration office and Bob Blake at the GW Bookstore for working with us so closely.
