The Progressive Student Union joined the hundreds-strong demonstration in front Gov. Scott Walker's Washington DC office on Wednesday. Walker is pushing a bill through the Wisconsin legislature that will dock the pay and benefits of government employees, and more outrageously, strip them of collective bargaining rights.
PSUers skipped class and took off from work to send a message to Walker and his ilk: this bill is unacceptable and we will defend workers' rights wherever they are threatened.
